FRED offers creative solutions for your green spaces. We are Tamsin Jackson and Suzie Wyllie, both artists with experience across a broad range of creative industries, including horticulture, the arts and design. We are inspired to design, create and maintain evolving landscapes that reflect the unique needs of our clients. 

We work to increase the functionality and enjoyment of your outdoor spaces.  

Our approach is informed by a passion for sustainable practices, an understanding of existing environmental conditions and plant cultures as well as an intuitive and studied relationship to form, texture, colour and movement.

FRED maintenance

FRED Garden Maintenance offers a year-round service with sound horticultural knowledge and attention to detail. Through communication with our clients, and a calendar of seasonal tasks personalised to your garden, we offer a reliable service that will ensure each plant within the garden is celebrated as part of the overall composition while the garden as a whole is supported to mature into its planned vision.

Our service standard guarantees that your garden will thrive to become a much-loved space within your home.

Through speaking with our clients about priorities for future maintenance visits and documenting task lists and dates for action, we can ensure that our team are prepared for the next visit to your garden to address your needs in a timely fashion.

We appreciate that despite wanting your garden to be well cared for on a regular basis you may wish to cap the hours allocated to garden care. During an initial consultation, we can discuss the level of care you require and determine a suitable monthly budget. 

It is a priority of ours to allocate the same team members to your garden on a regular basis to ensure continuity of work and full appreciation of your requirements.

FRED design

Initial Consultation and Site Analysis

In our initial meeting, we cover all the basics, such as your ideas and inspiration, how the space is used and how you would like to use it, what your budget is, site analysis, dates for work to begin, and a timeframe for concept design delivery.

Design concepts, drawings, plant lists

We will draw up concept designs based on the discussions and site analysis taken during our initial consultation. These concept designs will detail hardscape materials and costs, plant lists, and some approximate timeframes for the work involved.

Building and planting

Once all designs have been signed off, we begin by preparing the site, laying any hardscapes such as paths, raised beds, planters and fences followed by the implementation of the planting and topping scheme.

Ongoing garden care

We offer a maintenance service that focuses on pruning, nutrition and weed control. Our care and attention to detail ensure your garden thrives all year round.
